Many colours, one light.
All the colours of the rainbow come from one source; all the different shades of skin come from the same biological process; and all the colours of the world are as beautiful as one another. Colour can be judged harshly when really every colour in the spectrum is unique to itself. You don’t look at a chocolate Labrador and think, “that’s a horrible colour,” you look at it and fall in adoration of it, because it’s cute. Every creature, living thing and object is the colour it is, to represent something special; they all have a specific effect on each individual person. We need to unteach ourselves about what colours mean; red doesn’t necessarily mean anger, or warnings; it’s passion and roses and love.
Orange doesn’t have to represent ginger hair, there’s auburn, strawberry blonde, and copper red, just to name a few… Orange means fire, heat, and hot hotheadedness rather than nutrition and health that we get through our everyday favourite fruits and vegetables.
Yellow comes from the sun, yet birds are usually always coloured in yellow by children; yellow is the colour of the sand underneath your feet and the potassium we get from bananas; it’s also the saying “When life gives you lemons, make lemonade.”
Green is the calming effect of nature; you close your eyes and picture yourself in a meadow and you see seas of green. It’s the most natural colour on Earth, yet it’s associated with jealousy, evil, and sickness. Wicked witches are always portrayed as being green; they are never attractive, yet Juice Wrld sings in his Lucid Dream song, ‘Who knew evil girls have the prettiest face?’
Colours are a disguise. Colours are associated with things that aren’t necessarily correct or true. Whilst black and white are the MOST judged colours on the planet, they don’t class as colours. In physics they are not called colours because they do not have specific wavelengths; if people in this world saw it this way, they would realise that they are equal, one is no better than the other. They are the same.
They do come from one light. That light is: the light of the universe and love.
Many thoughts, one solution.
All the thoughts in the subconscious come from one source. Thoughts are what clog our brain up with unnecessary information, minimising the space for all the nothingness we need to let enter our lives. Thoughts are the things that stress us, that make us overthink situations and let us believe bad things are going to happen, when in actual fact they’re just thoughts. The worst part is, we let them. We put those thoughts there, we let them poison our minds, when all that needs to go through our minds, are the present moments that we are experiencing.
The fact of the matter is, 80% of the things we worry about, don’t happen. We’re just telling ourselves that it will, because our thoughts like to let us worry; it’s not always negative though; our thoughts like to get our hopes up and they like to get us excited about things too; but it’s still not letting us be present.
Taking 20-30 minutes out of your day to do something mindful; whether that be to lay or sit there meditating, clearing all the thoughts that come into your head and watching them go by, or to be creative, or even to exercise; whatever clears your head of thoughts to bring you to the present will help your mental health and wellbeing. To not be judgemental, to not have to worry about things that the Universe has you covered for, to just be in this exact moment and to be grateful for what you’ve been blessed with and to feel happy in your own skin.
Look into your third eye, and watch your imagination unfold; imagine you’re on a beach, sat on a wooden swing that’s attached to a deserted palm tree and you’re looking out into the ocean without a care in the world. Just stay there, swinging, watch dolphins swim by and birds dive in to drink the salty water. It doesn’t have to be here, it can be wherever your happy place is; using your imagination switches you off from everyday thoughts, worries and life, it opens your mind’s eye and enables you to be more aware of your surroundings.
Thoughts aren’t all bad, they are also dreams. Don’t hinder your dreams, they aren’t fictional, they are what you’re capable of so long as you believe. Take note of them, feel what they might be telling you, it’s your subconscious talking to you; but one thing is for sure, we never dream when we’re busy; it’s usually something you do when you’re asleep or daydreaming.
They do come from one solution. That solution is: just be still and love.
Many lies, one truth.
All the lies in all the languages come from one source. Lies are told to be deceitful, to be kind, to cover up what or who we really are and how we want to be portrayed. It sounds good in our head but then once spoken out loud and we hear it for real, it can backfire. Regardless to the reason(s) behind the lie, it’s always going to hurt when we eventually find out the truth, or the truth about yourself is found out.
The lie usually originates from the mind, it leaves us through the throat and mouth, but it resonates around the heart, and you eventually feel it in the gut. No good comes from lying; it might cover up what you’re intending it to at the start, but the truth will always come out eventually. ‘What goes around, comes around,’ is true; if you have a blocked throat chakra, you will find yourself lying lot, without even thinking you’re causing any damage; you’ll attract the types of souls that you deserve; you in turn will be lied to and you will be treated the way you continue to treat others. Falsely.
“And the truth shall set you free” John 8:32. For the sake of prolonging imminent heartache and disappointment; telling the truth is the best path to take. Honesty is always the best policy. The truth can be hurtful, and it might not be what you want to hear, but at the same time, trust comes with honesty and so does respect. The action the person might have taken before the truth was told might be disrespectful and make you lack in trust initially, but in the long run they are respecting you enough to tell you the truth so you can in turn decide which path you would like to take. Truth gives you solid options, lies give you false options and hope most of the time, which can ultimately lead you down the wrong path.
There are times when you will deal with liars who will never come clean and admit to the truth; which is fine, that is their choice, what you don’t want is to be sucked into it all, it becomes harmful, you start to wrongly doubt yourself and you become a part of the lie for believing in it, even though you know deep down it isn’t the truth. Trust in yourself, trust your intuition and more importantly, trust your gut. Go with your head not your heart; it will hurt if it’s something you don’t necessarily want to believe but it will serve you right in the end when you’re on the path of the truth.
They do come from one truth. That truth is: communication and love.
Many lusts, one love.
Some people may not know the difference between love and lust. Here’s my interpretation; Love is a deep feeling of emotion and affection you feel towards someone; it’s long lasting and goes deeper into your body, digs beneath the surface. Lust is more of a physical attraction, a sexual desire you fantasise about, which 90% of the time, doesn’t work out like it did in your head.
Do you believe in love at first sight? When it comes to material objects I believe you can love something as soon as you see it, but it isn’t the feeling of being in love; you wouldn’t take a bullet or risk your life for the pair of shoes or the leather jacket you saw in the store. I believe in lust at first sight. I believe you can see someone attractive and instantly be drawn to them, daydreaming about your lives together etc. but until you know that person, I don’t think love can come into it.
Temptation is all around us; whether it’s another person you feel you have a connection with in the office or it’s that huge cream cake you keep eyeing up in the bakery that you walk past every morning even though you’re on a diet; temptation is never going to go away. It’s how you handle the lust that determines how much of the love you feel; would giving into that lust be worth the loss of the love you feel or could possibly sacrifice?
Love is love; whether its heterosexual, homosexual, pansexual, the list goes on; it doesn’t matter, we all have a heartbeat; we’re all capable of feeling deep emotions, and it’s experiencing those deep emotions that enables us to know the difference between love and lust. If you feel you can’t live without that person, you’re in love and like Winnie the Pooh said, “If you live to be a hundred, I want to live to be a hundred minus one day, so I never have to live without you.”
Until you love yourself truly and deeply, you won’t be capable of loving someone else wholly; when you have insecurities about yourself, they then get reflected on to the other person. You might be jealous and insecure, which in turn, makes you think that the person you love is cheating on you or that their success makes you feel less worthy. If you’re really ready to love truly, madly, deeply, start with yourself. Experience true love at its best and save your lusting for the guilty crush you have on Gordon Ramsey.
They do come from one love; that love is within yourself.
Many foods, one hunger (emptiness).
When you look at the diversity of the world and the different countries that are lucky enough to have access to every type of cuisine possible; compared to the countries that are dying of starvation because their crops don’t grow or they just don’t have the funds to buy it; they couldn’t be further apart. I don’t agree with the ‘one hunger’ part of this sub-heading, I feel it should be classed as more of an emptiness and here’s why.
Everybody has experienced the feeling of hunger, that’s an everyday occurrence for most; but not everybody has experienced the feeling of starving. It’s easy to express your hunger as “I’m starving” but it wouldn’t be fair to say that if you only ate two hours previously. People use the term ‘starving’ flippantly without actually considering those in the world who actually are.
Then there’s those who go to the opposite end of the food spectrum; those who have an issue with eating. Those who are luckily enough to have a choice as to whether they eat or not and then abuse that choice by overindulging or not eating at all. Mental health can cause the chemicals in your brain to either be constantly hungry because you’re unhappy; and it makes you think that food makes you happy, ‘comfort eating. Or, it can physically stop you from eating because you don’t like the look of your body or it’s the only aspect of your life that you feel you can fully control at the time.
Food should be seen as a source of energy for our bodies, not as a constant flow of activity because we might be bored or because we’ve got nothing else better to do. People should understand the toll it takes to eat. If you’re going to consciously overeat then be conscious of the damage you’re causing yourself and the potential risks; heart attack, obesity, type 2 diabetes, the list goes on. If you’re going to consciously not eat, then also be conscious of the damage you’re causing to your body and the potential risks; malnutrition, muscle wastage, heart problems, dental problems, again the list is endless. Food is a privilege and should be seen as that.
They do come from one ‘emptiness’; that emptiness is a lack of love.
Many friends, one soul tribe.
I changed ‘soul mate’ to ‘soul tribe’. I don’t believe that you have one soul mate. If you were to ask me how many soul mates I have I’d say at least three. My best friend is my soul mate, there’s no doubt in my mind that we’ve been through many lifetimes together and will continue to do so. We’re entwinned and flow like a river; we’re one person and no matter how long we go without seeing each other, when we eventually do, it’s like no time has passed.
My boyfriend is my soul mate, when you travel half way around the world and know as soon as you see them that they are meant to be in your life that’s a connection that’s gone through the test of time; and when I say ‘time’ I mean lifetimes. I also believe I have family members who have been in my life before, such as my Nana and my mother. Had my mother given birth to me in a later era, we’d have both died at childbirth; I massively believe we were sent back around this time so we could do a better job of it; which ultimately we did, but only just!
Friends come in and out of our lives to teach us things. They all start out as friends, but you quickly learn what they are in your life for once you get to know them. I’ve never been one to have loads of friends, mainly because I like to have the strong bond and connection with someone rather than to have someone flit in and out. That’s not to say I haven’t had those types of people; you’ll have the ones that steal from you, that lie to you, that stab you in the back and are only your friend to get what they can out of you; but they’re all sent to test you so you learn a lesson and you don’t let people like that back in your life again.
We all have a soul; our bodies are just the casing to protect that soul until it has fulfilled its purpose or desire. How I see it is, it’s almost like a game; if you don’t fulfil your souls purpose then when you die, you get another go, and you keep going until your soul’s purpose is fulfilled. You learn something different in each lifetime and if you’re connected and able to meditate properly, you’ll find in your subconscious what your purpose is.
If you’re a new soul or an old soul, everybody is here for a reason, everybody on this planet has a purpose. Friends can come and go but your soulmates will be with you for life, this one and the next ones.
They do come from one soul ‘tribe’; that tribe is built out of love; otherwise they wouldn’t keep coming back to life with you.
Many directions, one destination.
You may get to a crossroads in life and be confused as to which path to take; we’ve all had these moments, whether they were good or bad. The fact of the matter is the universe already knows which path you’re meant to and are going to take. Sometimes instead of panicking about having to decide quickly, you need to take a step back and get a clearer perspective as to which path feels like the right one. Listen to your heart, not your head. Everything happens for a reason; the people you have come across, the places you have visited, the situations you may have found yourself in; they all contribute to the path that is meant for you.
If there was only one direction to our destinations, then life would be boring. Life likes to throw curve balls at us, keep us on our toes; it’s all part of the learning process; it all helps us to grow as soulful beings. The more connected you are to spirit the easier your path will become to your universal destination; the less connected you are the more you are going to listen to your ego and take the difficult route. Switch off, listen to your heart, and connect to spirit, which way is it guiding you?
Usually if spirit takes you the long way around it is because you haven’t yet achieved what you have needed to before getting to your destination. There may be a person you need to come across first, or an act of kindness or bravery you need to overcome. Remember, everything happens for a reason.
We all come from one direction, gravity pulls our physical human body down to the ground through the womb, and we all have a destination; we all have the same process but we all have different directions to go in to get to that one destination. Most of the time we’re born out of love; most of the time it’s love that will guide us to our destination, not just love of a person, which most person would assume; but pure passionate love for whatever is driving you; travel, creativity, religion, the environment, the list goes on, we’re all passionate about something that keeps us motivated.
We do come from many directions and have one destination, that destination is love; otherwise we wouldn’t be happy when we eventually get there.
